Have you tried this?

Over the years, we've come to understand the importance of presentation. Whether for a seminar, Marketing, Project defense or whatever you need to present to people, how you make the presentation matters a lot.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a simple and popular way to make your presentation. But I want to ask if you have tried Prezi.

Frame your content

Frames are a signature part of Prezi and a great way to manage your content. Frames work like slides and can be used to group your ideas. Use frames to create a placeholder in your prezi and then add content to them. Frames come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and you can change the color of them as well as their size and position. The other great thing about frames is that once you place one on your prezi canvas, you can move, size, and rotate it, and all the content within your frame will move, size, and rotate too.
Create frames:

Insert diagrams

Prezi has created layout drawings, diagrams, and charts that can help you better communicate your ideas to your audience.

Quickly add content to your diagrams, and duplicate them (using the right-click menu or keyboard shortcuts) to start filling your prezi with inspiring content.

So much more can be done with Prezi.

"Microwave Mentality"

If you're looking for results in your business or personal life and feeling frustrated that it's taking too long, perhaps you need to drop the mentality. Remember: anything that's worth something takes time.

To be honest with ourselves, how many times have we wanted to be the exception to every rule? I want to lose weight, but I don’t want to stop eating dessert, candy bars, and fried foods. I want to lose weight, but I don’t want to exercise. I want to lose weight, but I want it now without any work put into it. I want to build a business, but I don’t want to start from the foundation. I want a successful business, but I don’t want to spend time and money to make it happen. I want to build a business, but I want it now without any work put into it. So, what can we do to change this mentality?

According to Charlene Tops, this is called "Microwave Mentality".  Wanting things to happen the quick way.

I realize how simple it is to want instant gratification. We live in a fast-paced world and we desire fast-paced results, but the microwave mentality doesn't work on anything of value in our lives. We need to realign our thinking. Pursue your goals and dreams with a desire for quality, regardless of the time and effort it takes. Remember, the only thing a microwave is really good for is to heat up leftovers! My experience so far in Strong Future International has taught me more on this.(You can visit the link to find out more it.)

I'll say;

  • Re-condition your brain.
  • Break-down your goals into small sections
  • Write your goals down and revisit them.

5 top things you get for free online

There is a saying that "nothing in life is free". You search through the internet and see a lot of free stuffs (some with strings attached).

But if you look closely, you will find cool and legit stuffs that cover education, entertainment and so on.

Here are my top 5:

I believe there are several others. Feel free to drop our comments and other freebies.

Funny or not?

The creativity of Nigerian comedians cannot be overemphasized. But sometimes I just wonder about some.

You've come across several of them (yes! you can even mention names). I just came across this guy and he tried a remake of Hon. Patrick.

Watch and let and let me know your take.

The Prediction

I just stumbled on this very simple Brain Teaser and want to know what your answer would be. Give it your best shot.
Here it goes:

John and His friend Dave had a little debate about the a football match between Nigeria and South Africa.

John predicted that before the match starts, the Score would be Nigeria 0: South Africa 0.
Dave argued this scoreline and said it would Nigeria 2: South Africa 0.

They both watched the match together. The scoreline at the end of the match was Nigeria 2: South Africa 0.

Dave rejoiced that he won the bet, John argued that he was right with his own prediction.

Did John lose or win the bet? why?

Charge your phone faster

Sometimes you battery get so low and you need to charge it up quickly and be on your way. You don't mind gaining a little percentage of charge.

Well, I guess you best bet is to switch of the phone and let it charge. That works fine. But did you know a little percentage is lost switching of the phone and on. (yeeeaaaah)

So a more conservative way is to but the phone in flight (airplane) mode. Or turning Mobile network off (Blackberry users)

Putting your phone into airplane mode turns off all of the wireless radios inside, so while you won't be able to receive calls, use data, or use GPS, you also won't be fighting background processes that use those radios for power while your phone is plugged in. The end result is your phone will charge a little faster, and you'll walk away with a bit more power in your battery than you would otherwise.

Of course, you could get a similar effect by just turning your phone off (sans power required to shut down/start up), but this is a bit easier.

Quick thinkers

Tell me a fruit with 5 letters,

when you remove the 1st letter it becomes a crime,

when you remove 2 first letters it becomes an animal and

if you remove the first and the last letter it becomes a type of music.

Give it a try....

Save that Wet Phone

One experience we hate so much is having our phones fall into water (Yes, I know you felt bad).
When this happens, the first and instinctive action is to remove the battery and place the phone under the sun to dry. Hmmmm!!!, this of course is what a guy would do. But I think a lady would cry her eyes out first. (My sentiment).

But drying the phone in sunlight means causing more harm to the phone.

Here is a more economical way of trying to rescue and save the phone;

1. Quickly take the phone out of water. ( Avoid the temptation of pressing the buttons to see if it still works)

2. Remove the battery and SD cards (memory card), SIM cards and every other attachments. [If the phone has a non-replaceable battery like the iPhone, then this is not an option. Just turn it off].

3 Dry the phone with a towel.

4. Dip the phone into a bowel of rice. (Whaaaaat?). Oh Yes, you read that correctly.

Rice is a good desiccant material and has good hygroscopic properties (That is, it tends to attract moisture to itself and absorb them). Silica gel is also another example,

5. After a while bring your phone out and replace battery. (Close your eyes and pray).

6. Turn it on. (wooow!!!!, it's working)

Share these and let's know how it works. Suggest other tips you may have.

What's your "Ice-breaker"?

Often times we meet people and striking a lovely conversation becomes important.  It's indeed tricky meeting new people. This is because you don't know what to expect from them- there do's and don'ts.

Oh!!! just if you are wondering what I meant initially, simple, What's your "pick-up" line or how do you initiate a conversation?

To some persons this may not be an issue to others it's really a big deal. You could begin with current issues and happenings. Some persons begin talking by asking simple questions like "What brings you to this part of town?", "what do you do?" and so on. This may work for some but it may be a turn-off for others. Let us know, What is your own Ice-breaker?
